SW520 has 2 line
jacks and one phone jack. The line jacks can connect to PSTN line and VOIP
line. Whenever there is a ring from either of them, the phone can ring and
answer.
When the user wants to make a phone call, it goes through LINE1 jack
automatically . If user dials #, 0 before the telephone number, it will dial
out from LINE2 jack.
It is ideal for FXS VOIP units. Sometimes the users don't have enough line
port on PBX or KTS. It can expand the number of CO line ports.

Can Caller ID be
displayed after install SW520?
When SW520 is under idle
status, the PHONE jack is connected with L2, only when L1 rings, it
switch
to L1.In some countries such as Netherlands , the telecom provide DTMF caller
ID format. This DTMF
format caller ID sends BEFORE the ring. So if
user connects PSTN on L1, the caller ID signal will
not be sent to the
telephone. In this case, if user connects PSTN to L2 of SW520, will be able to receive
the caller ID from PSTN. If the other line is from VOIP gateway , and sends FSK signal, even it connects
on L1, can still
view the caller ID.If both telephone lines connected to SW520 have DTMF caller ID, user
can buy our SW220 to convert the signal to FSK, and send after first
ring, so both telephone lines can
have caller ID. |
